The two titans of the found universe, FOUND FOOTAGE FESTIVAL and FOUND MAGAZINE, will go toe-to-toe at the Heirloom Arts Theatre (155 Main Street) in Danbury on Saturday, April 27th (8 pm) in a battle royale of found stuff. Both camps—Joe Pickett (The Onion) and Nick Prueher (Letterman) of the FFF, and Peter and Davy Rothbart (This American Life) of FOUND—will be sharing their favorite finds to determine once and for all whether found notes or found videos will reign supreme. There will be music, comedy and blood.
In addition to this, a share of the proceeds from this show will be going to the Brookline Resilience Youth Team.

I’m very excited to announce that I will be embarking on a 30 or so day tour with Squid The Whale and The Orphan The Poet from May 10 through June 8th, starting in the midwest and travelling clockwise around this fine country. It took some time for me to realize that I wanted to pursue to the band on a full time basis again and it was a process that, along with a suggestion from Bradley in Squid The Whale, lead me to approach this tour the way I will be later this spring. I will be taking the stage without a band behind me (though there will be a few guests helping out each night), playing songs from each release over the last 7 years and talking about the band’s story along with my own. I decided to embark on this one-time only tour because it seems people have always really related to the lyrical side of this band’s music. I think this will be a unique way to present the music and share the life and learning experiences that lead to the uncomfortably honest songs ive made a habit of writing. I hope you are as excited to see this show as I am to be sharing the stage with such fine bands. I look forward to seeing everyone next month. It’s been a long time coming!

Do you ever worry that your true identities might be revealed with the continued success of your band?
Green – I think our true identities are revealed.
Yellow – This is who I am, this is my true identity. It’s not a secret, man.
Blue – Yeah, that’s true. A lot of people ask us, “What’s your true identity? Are you a janitor? Are you a dad? Are you a dancer? Who are you?” We’re all of the above, right? We’re dancing dad janitors.
Red – If anybody asks, we’re Teenage Bottlerocket.
Thank you to Sleep City for their time at their most recent show in CT!
